Hostels really are the way to go when you are backpacking especially if you want to meet other travellers from around the world. While in Bangkok, hostels will be closer to $10/night, you can find them much cheaper in the North such as in Chiang Mai.
4) The weather is always hot and sunny!
Even though Thailand does have a rainy season, the rain never lasts that long anyways. You can have some incredible weather even in low season. If you come from a country that has cold winters like I do, then backpacking Thailand is the best way to beat the cold. Shorts and t-shirt weather all the time!

When you stay in hostels, you meet people from all over the world. I’ve met people from England, Germany, Australia, Brazil, and the list goes on and on. And then there are the friendly locals. The thai people are very kind if you show respect for their culture.
7) To see some of the most amazing temples!
Thailand’s buddhist culture is prominent throughout the whole country with amazing temples and statues to be seen. Take it one step further and join in some meditation classes with a monk. It will be an experience like no other.
8) The Nature is seriously unbelievable!
If you are a fan of nature, Thailand will literally take your breath away. The country isn’t just beaches, rather some incredible places to go trekking with beautiful mountains and lush greenery.

Everyone I’ve ever met in hostels have all said the same thing, that travelling is one of their biggest passions. And it makes sense because of how much you do in a short period of time.
