Backpacking in Thailand, there’s really nothing like it. I’ve travelled to many countries, but there was this special kind of feeling I got when I was in the land of smiles. There’s just something about Thailand that makes you feel so good and like you are on an adventure! And everyone you meet is really trying to live it up to the fullest. I rarely have dull moments in Thailand unlike some of the other places I’ve visited. So in case you forgot how great this place it, here are 16 photos that make you miss your amazing backpacking adventure in Thailand!
Street food that looks like this and costs next to nothing!
And its made fresh in front of you. My mouth is watering already.
Remember Lanterns?
Whether you lit your own or watched them float in the sky, it was a sight that is carved into your memory forever!
Banana pancakes!!!
There are beaches that look like this!
And here’s a top view.
And when the sun sets, they are even more beautiful.
So much so that you can watch it endlessly..
And then there is the amazing diving and snorkelling!
And when night hits, there’s always a crazy party happening somewhere!
..especially when the moon is full!
With these delicious beers and of course the “night-forgetting” buckets!
And after a heavy night of drinking, nothing beats a Thai massage..
..especially when it costs next to nothing! You could literally get one every day without spending very much. Now that’s living 😉
And remember your first night probably spent on the Khao San Road?
There’s a good chance you don’t remember any of it. Oh how new and naive you were to what was to come!
But after expressing your wild side, it was healing to visit temples..
..and learn about the peaceful way of life that Buddhism offers.
And then there’s all of these artistic-looking hostels with a chill and social vibe.
In fact, there’s lots of places to chill!
Did I forget to mention the breath-taking scenery that is scattered throughout the country?!
But what really makes Thailand welcoming are the friendly locals..
..who have so little, but always a smile on their face.
Another day, another beautiful viewpoint
..and even better if you motorbiked there yourself!
And your trip wouldn’t have been the same without all the people you met along that way..
It’s crazy, in the span of 4 weeks you could meet more people than you would in a year back home! And for that moment in time, you really felt apart of something magical.
A trip to Thailand is truly a life-changing experience. Never forget what you have learned on your trip, whether its about life, the world, or yourself.

You have really shown the beauty of Thailand Georgina I can see why you want to go back.
Miss the diving so much!
My third time in Thailand this Summer and my fourth next year. I was never alone in all that time. There is something about this country the captivates me. I think most of all. It’s the mentality of Thais towards life itself that draws me closer. I feel a huge part of this culture and feel I’m not just a tourist but a major contributor to the way of life that is Thailand.
I feel exactly the same way Barry. No other place in the world gives me the feeling that I get in Thailand. Always go alone, but with people constantly that I meet along the way. It truly is an experience like no other! Thanks for reading 🙂
Im sorry Thailand, i love you!!! But i found this place called Philippines and I think its the better version of you. She took my heart. Thailand, thank you for the memories.
i just got back last night from Thailand, just my body back in the U.S but the soul still back there. I miss Thailand and the people.
